How to Propose a DEAL to your CLIENT

Gentlemen (MARKETING GUYS) nowadays are very innovative when comes to PROPOSING DEALS TO THEIR CLIENTS. Some are grandiose, some chose to have it over a simple dinner.

Guys here are some tips that you might want to apply when PROPOSING A DEAL to your CLIENT.

  1. Make sure you find the right CLIENT before you PROPOSE THE DEAL.
  2. Fall in love WITH THEIR BUSINESS.
  3. Although it is a bit dated tradition, know enough about your future in-laws (CLIENTS TEAM MEMBERS) to know if they would like it if you ask permission from them before you PROPOSE THE DEAL.
  4. Know enough about your future CLIENT so you can create a meaningful and delightful experience.
  5. Decide if you are going to ENTER INTO an ENGAGEMENT before or after you propose.
  6. When ENTERING INTO an ENGAGEMENT, make sure you MAINTAIN your BUDGER or FINANCIAL capability.
  7. Pay attention to timing. Don't plan on PROPOSE when your future CLIENT is stressed or overwhelmed.
  8. Pick a memorable place, song, or occasion such as where you first met, or first SPOKE, etc.
  9. Set a romantic tone for your PROPOSAL.
  10. Although we don't recommend that you do something silly , we do think you should try to keep your PROPOSAL fun.
  11. Keep your PROPOSAL simple. The more complicated the PROPOSAL is, the more things that could go wrong with your proposal plans!
  12. Make sure you don't lose the ENGAGEMENT WITH THE CLIENT if you've MANAGED TO CRACK ONE.
  13. Keep your PROPOSAL private. Proposing in front of your future CLIENT or at a PUBLIC SEMINAR may be exciting TO HEAR, but in real life, it is best to keep your PROPOSAL just between the TWO of you.
  14. Again ... if you are thinking of tying the knot to the end of a kite string or fishing line, be certain that your intended has a great sense of humor and that you know how to tie a good knot!
  15. Share Your Proposal Stories with US!

I am Retired..!!! You have a doubt ?

I learned from an Insurance advisor that one can be termed as retired in 2 ways in life. One when he has reached  an age bar and decides to have zero dealings with any sort of work and two when he decides to be stress free or to put it in better words, to do things that he wishes to do. Just about a few years ago when i decided to start by my own i realised i had a whole list of things to achieve. Hence to begin smart i took some books that explained to me what it takes to start by your own. One example i came across was of an IIM pass out (i forgot his name by now) who mentioned that he started a Catering business after passing out from an IIM. Imagine what a foolish right. All his friends including him got an offer worth of more than 30 lacs and its not a bad amount to begin your career with. He decided to not opt for this and go help his mother in her catering business grow up. He infact made a loss of about 10 Lacs in the first year and  by now the people around him had all stories to make about him and his foolishness. People pounce on when they see your failure but no one knew what he was doing then. 2nd year end of the year he had a profit worth 76 lacs in his books and a monthly turn over of 32 lacs (what was suppose to be his yearly package) and promised to make it 4 times from the 3rd year onwards. A valuation worth more 2 Crs in 2 yrs made him certainly a man to look upon to. After this story i realised one thing. That life is about being RETIRED. Take up what you feel is the best thing you like doing in LIFE and Live it. Vishal, CEO of India Games, loved playing games. Did he leave it..??? no. He made the world play games instead. Started a company at the age of 26. Was left with 2lacs in the end of some quarter of the year which was the last amount left the last round of investment the VC did for his company. What did he do. He bet on his confidence, dreamed bigger and converted it into 3 Crs which were sufficient enough for the next 3 years at least. Today almost all of us know about India Games. Salute to you Mr Vishal. So its simple. I decided i want to be retired and let stress be a bypass for this JANAM. Thats how i started terming my OCCUPATION to the world as - Promotions of Retirement Plans. By now i am sure you know the other meaning of Retirement.
I have challenges on my way as retirement is not an easy phase of life. You have no great support but yet you have to live through your time and show the world your independent success.
Well here i am. Making it clear to the world about my RAC ticket for SUCCESS which is about to become CONFIRMED and my name too would be out of the waiting list just the guys i mentioned above.
I heard into my passion. I followed what i want to do. The list is long. But this is a good start to my belief. What is it with 'YOU' ?

An inspiration to be LINCOLN

Every day i get up. I look at myself and my business. Look into the strengths and its weaknesses. Look into the payables and receivables. I realise that books show a great achievement but cash positions dont. The fight is to meet the requirement of those relying on you for their daily bread, the fight is to stand your creativity under this state, the fight is to keep your cool to make new business, the fight is to yet plan another HIGH, the fight has a whole list to mention but to top it all is the innate desire to stand through this deadly test of time and destiny and come out as a winner after losing million of times, after hearing praises and abuses, after falling and getting back, after recruiting and suspending, after almost living a decade within a few days, after spending sleepless nights yet dreaming all along, its only after all this that the a man passes the real test to be what they call it as ENTREPRENEUR. Its only when a MAN conquers fear over every other loss, Success over every other failure and a Life over every day death.
This is an inspiration i have got from the real story of ABRAHAM LINCOLN who made a huge loss at 22, lost his wife at 28, met a nervous breakdown at 36, miraculously lived through a major accident at 44, lost from being the Vice president of US @ 48 and became the LIVED history.
Wish you a Courageous Life. Pursue your passion because you have taken birth to MAKE A MARK on this world and YOU WILL.

Art Vs Design

Design can have various elucidations or interpretations; however this concept can be broadly elaborated in following two ways. The purpose of design defines the context in which it can be applied.  If the reason behind instigating a particular design is commercial then design can be defined as graphical output of amalgamation of aesthetics principles and precise communication for the reason that involves selling, marketing or advertising of goods, services or even individuals. In this form of design communication gets importance over design, because the purpose is clearly defined. In other words it is ‘designed' for everyone and anyone to understand the implicit art in the explicit way. On the other hand if the same design is created in the wake of personal leisure then, unlike commercial design, design gets to play important role over the other. In the sense, here the floor is kept open to let the interpreter form his /her own judgments over the work.  It actually ceases to be a design; it metamorphoses into a piece of art. The concept of Art & Design further gets clearly defined when one juxtaposes them with the two of the most renowned disciplines in the field of art - Fine Art & Commercial Art.  However, there is a very thin line of disparity between the two, as commerce has equally become important in case of Fine Arts. Also to stand out from the rest, advertisers jump onto ‘art' bandwagon. May be they have started taking these words very seriously, ‘Everything is designed but few things are designed well.'

This is for all YOU guys who might be finding it difficult to Live your Passion..I am

When things go wrong, as they sometimes will,
When the road you're trudging seems all uphill,
When the funds are low and the debts are high,
And you want to smile, but you have to sigh,
When care is pressing you down a bit,
Rest, if you must, but don't you quit.

Life is queer with its twists and turns,
As every one of us sometimes learns,
And many a failure turns about,
When he might have won had he stuck it out;
Don't give up though the pace seems slow--
You may succeed with another blow.

Often the goal is nearer than,
It seems to a faint and faltering man,
Often the struggler has given up,
When he might have captured the victor's cup,
And he learned too late when the night slipped down,
How close he was to the golden crown.

Success is failure turned inside out--
The silver tint of the clouds of doubt,
And you never can tell how close you are,
It may be near when it seems so far,
So stick to the fight when you're hardest hit--
It's when things seem worst that you must not quit.

Talk about passion.Talk about giving up worldly desires.Talk about sticking to what you do best.

Dang! You’re talking about Indian Ocean.

25 years. Dig this, for 25 years; these guys have just ‘wandered around, playing, singing folk songs like minstrels for peace’. Out of one vision, grew an entire experience called Indian Ocean.

But the ride wasn’t at all bliss. In a country rampant with a standard verse-chorus-verse music scene, where the musicians would seldom gain recognition, four ‘babas’ from Delhi emerged, telling people about various folk tales, current issues, through their songs which followed a simple pattern of music where no strict structure ruled the songs, they were based on musical scales (and not chords), hence, letting the music just flow like a river.

With Amit Kilam on drums,Susmit Sen on guitars,Rahul Ram on bass,Asheem Chakravarty on tabla and all of them sharing vocal duties, Indian Ocean made their foray onto the Indian music scene, with nothing but good music. No big names backing them. No inclination towards the run-of-the-mill type of Bollywood music. What they brought to the Hindi-language music scene was novel and pathbreaking.

All-in-all, what they did was just stick to their passion. Had they given up and sucked up to the corporate culture, the richness of folk music would’ve been away from our ears. Sure, times of tragedy struck them. Haughty record labels dismissed off their music as’ unsuitable for the masses’. The band, together, struggled balancing their day jobs and jam sessions.

Karmanye vadhikaraste ma phaleshu kadachna
Karmaphalehtur bhurma te sangostvakarmani ||

Lord Krishna’s words, Indian Ocean just applied it to their way of living.

From Master Blaster to the Legendary Master Blaster!

To begin with salute to the greatest sportsman in the history of the game! Reading this a debate may get ensued. However there are very good reasons to justify the honor bestowed upon him in the beginning of this post. Sachin has been successful in rising as a greatest batsman in spite of all the expectations, oddities, vicissitudes, upheavals, etc. It’s his PASSION, the one that he still continues to have for the game that makes him what he is today. He would have gone through lot of surgeries for end number of times, which player doesn’t? But true players like him get in action in spite of such problems. It’s a PASSION’s call as they say. He not only became India’s greatest batsman by taking over the coveted title from the ‘Sunil Gavaskar’in the recent past, but also managed to become the greatest batsman of the modern times. Sachin is a natural and impulsive batsman. Legend has it that he has got half a dozen shots in his armor for each delivery! He could destroy any bowling attack on any pitch. When you glance at his cricket records, his cricket career and his PASSION for the game you realize that being a legend is not just about playing good cricket it’s also about creating more PASSIONATE followers; it’s also about making the game proud. Sachin did that in style and how!

Death of Michael or ‘Michael Jackson’?

"I Want You Back", started the musical journey of the great Michael Jackson a.k.a. ‘MJ’ as popularly called by his fans world over. Now anyone could have mistaken the voice behind that song to be that of a musical maestro but he broke the territory of stereotype and this was in 1969, when he was just 11; a fifth grader, he was a normal kid but within him lived a young boy who was just PASSIONATE about one thing – Music, a boy that simply amazed you on how could someone so young be thoroughly in command of his gifts, his passion. The journey from being a child prodigy to virtuoso wasn’t an easy ride still nothing could reduce his appetite for singing and shook his zest for good music.

Fast-forward 13 years: During a jamboree held to celebrate Motown's 25th anniversary one could hear the ooos and aahhhhs among the audience that were zapped looking at ‘MJ’ doing what has already become history – moonwalking. Noboby out there could fathom this guy who had just leapt a tall building and no one was sure if they should believe their eyes. He was 24 then; Thriller had been out for four months. That night an icon was minted in an instant: the fedora, the sequined socks, that front leg-kick thing he did-- he flew in from another dimension and looked like the greatest dancer in pop music history. Even in these new endeavors of his one could find the traces of his ‘PASSION’ – music.

Take away the music, and Michael Jackson's life is just too sad to contemplate. This is a very good argument for not taking away the music, ever. His death could well be connoted as not only death of an individual but an institution called ‘PASSION.’ Michael Jackson-- superhero, cartoon, singer, dancer, supremely troubled dude-- made all this music, and surprisingly the death of PASSION as mentioned previously hasn’t completely occurred. It's amazing to experience his PASSION that still continues to thrive in the form of his ardent admirers who religiously listen and love ‘MJ’ for his work. Such was his PASSION, very infectious. If one thing we must draw parallels with in MJ’s life could be his fervor, his craze, the clichéd yet powerful word by now – his PASSION. We're all going to die someday, too. So let's live. Live for what we innately possess – PASSION for something that is truly ours and only ours. This is it!

Biggest hurdle in becoming an unstoppable person in business

The biggest hurdle in becoming an unstoppable or a speedy businessmen in term of your growth is your own PROCESS or SYSTEM...Managing your own day to day activities it becomes difficult to plan new concepts and developments for the ideas one would want to convert into application and see if they are working for organisation. There's so much to read more, learn more ,share more, network more but because one is too involved in making the basic system perfect and handling the existing business the potency of new ideas at times dies before they take birth. Well none the less and true Entrepreneur is a person who can sustain all of this and yet stand up to say 'I have a new idea, lets try this out' and not give up to the situation. All of this is easier said than done but trust me doing this gives one even more satisfaction and courage to forge ahead in reaching the goal faster. Kudos to all such ENTREPRENEURS. Keep going. You are the inspiration.
